Kai is an absolutely amazing ceramic Satsuma moriage biscuit barrel, dating to the 1920s. She hexagonal in shape and decorated on two sides with the same image of two male figures. On the other two sides is a fan, allowing the jar to be displayed with varying images. The lid is wooden with a brass metal knob and fits snugly on the jar.  Kai is hand painted in russet, gray, with white and gold moriage glaze highlights throughout. She measures 5.75" diameter x 5.5" tall.
