DONATELLA
Mid-century Italian masters showing off…minds BLOWN with this glassy gal! Never. Enough. MCM. (Especially Empoli, because they are SO hard to source!)
Empoli glass, a term for glass made in/around Empoli, Italy, dating as far back as the 15th century, is famous for their colorful, simple abstract shapes. They differ from Murano in this way – less internal decoration and glass rigaree or trim – and shape and support the mid-20th century Modernist style. They are rare and priced as such – a true collectors piece!
Donatell measures 11" tall x 3.25" diameter.
