MIRABEL + ISABELA

$142.00

Mirabel and Isabela are Tonala pottery boho babes dating to the 1960s. They each feature an intricate hand painted floral design with two elegant cranes hiding in plain sight. Signed on the bottom by artist Bruno P. Arzobispo - yeah,  about that Bruno.... ;)

The ceramic production in Tonalá, known as the authentic mestizo ceramic is symbolic of Mexico's identity, is made of burnished clay or scented clay. The first designs of these ceramics were inspired by forms found in nature such as vegetables and roots. Mirabel and Isabela measure 3.75" wide at their base x 6" tall and are sold as a set, and include their own candlesticks.
