Rhonda is a beautiful 1930s L.E. Smith black amethyst Mt. Pleasant bowl with dainty scalloped edges. She is in divine condition and holds a nice, large wax load!  Black amethyst (which is sometimes referred to as "onyx glass") appears black to the naked eye, but under bright, direct light, you can see that it is made of deep purple glass. What a fun find, not to mention hard to find with this pattern! Rhonda measures 7" diameter x 3.75" tall.
